A special exhibition celebrating the 400th Anniversary of the King James Bible.
For the first time in the history of Elton Hall, outstanding bibles and early manuscripts are on display throughout the summer opening. This exhibition covers the history of the English Bible from the early 14th Century to the publication of the King James Bible in 1611.
Opening times
I've been to see the small exhibition, which has an illustrated catalog for £3.00. I would guess this could be purchased from the Administrator of Elton Hall after the exhibition closes this Bank Holiday Monday.
ReplyDeleteThe 48 page catalogue is illustrated by 5 pages from books of hours and prayer books. No illustrations of the bibles are shown, but I would guess could be found on the internet with a search.
